You can see from the table below, how the levels of cut resistance will be categorised under ISO 13997, the cutting force associated with each level, and the likely glove style.
One of the key considerations to be aware of with the revised standard is many products on the market today certified to cut level 5 on the Coupe Test will not necessarily achieve levels D or E according to ISO 13997. Therefore it is important to check with your current glove supplier, if they are testing to ISO 13997 and what level your current cut 5 gloves perform to.
